MATERIALS 
855 (955, 1050, 1140, 1245, 1340) metres / 935 (1045, 1150, 1245, 1360, 1465) yards of worsted weight wool yarn
Sample shown in De Rerum Natura Gilliat (100% European Merino wool), in colorway ‘Genêt’.

GAUGE 
18 stitches x 27.5 rows = 4 square in stockinette stitch, knit flat on larger needle, after blocking

SUGGESTED NEEDLES 
One 32” circular needle in size needed to obtain stockinette gauge 
Recommended size: US 6 / 4.0 mm

One 16” circular needle, two sizes smaller than gauge needle (for neckband only)
Recommended size: US 4 / 3.5 mm

DIFFICULTY 
Intermediate: Skills required include seaming, knitting in the round, twisted stitch knitting, increasing and decreasing, and picking up stitches.
